Dr. Igor Poltavskyi from the UL research team of Professor Alexandre Tkatchenko provided a highly appreciated introduction to methods of unsupervised and supervised machine learning. DTU DRIVEN welcomed Professor Ley from Gent University for his PhD course on Advanced Statistical Analysis on 15-17 July 2019 at the University of Luxembourg (UL). About 50 registered Doctoral Candidates from DTU DRIVEN and various other Doctoral Schools at UL enjoyed the lectures and interactive tutorial sessions.
Professor Martin Theobald gave a very interesting 3-day course on Big Data Analytics to our PhD students in DTU DRIVEN from 25-27 June 2019.
Dr Lars Beex introduced the Doctoral Candidates of DTU DRIVEN to the field of Numerical Optimisation from 11th to 13th of June 2019 covering a broad spectrum of potential application domains and following a learning-by-doing approach by implementing the presented methods in computer code together with the participants.
